77 C20 hauler to crawler

Thanks guys. I'm going to see how things go this coming week and decide what to get and what to wait on.

Well... I got something finished today. I finally finished all my tack tack tacking on the floor and transmission tunnel (<-had to choose my words wisely). Not sure if I want to spray in some bedliner or do some cheap sound deadening stuff and a OEM style rubber floor liner? I did give it a nasty brushed on coat of primer. Didn't feel like huffing spray paint today and after seeing the beating this stuff has taken on some handrails I built at the church I thought it would work great here. Wish I had more progress pics but I ran out of time today. Going to try and get the transmission (<-choosing my words again) in and a crossmember built tomorrow. Does anyone know of an ok twin stick setup for a 203/205 that doesn't cost a lot? I don't have the factory stuff to work with and the PO tried to cobble together a triple stick so... Yeah.

Whoa, zombie thread.

Finish that Pepsi, pony up for a good shifter and be happy self identifying your tranny.

Good to see some progress!
Lol I did finish the Pepsi and it was good. Yeah even though it's not a lot of progress it did feel good to see something done. Definitely going to pony up for a shifter. I don't want to mess with building one but I don't want to pay lots o money's for one but I don't want one that's a pile of doo doo.

Mothballs

Has anyone used linear actuators for shif activators? Or stepper motors? Seems like that would be cool.
Don't see why it can't be done. The t case could be "shifter less". If, for the love of all things unholy, you ran an auto, you'd have no shifter on the floor like a 2wd.

Set of drive flanges, I'd claim 2WD status...

Boy...this is starting to sound like dem knew truks. You could even mount a push button on the dash if you really got into things...

Nice progress.

P.s. make sure to always give a courtesy flush, as to prevent toilet clogging.
You guys are amazing. :waytogo:
Sometimes I fill out paperwork and then there is a revision so I have to go back and fill it out again which causes a paper jam... :doah:
