77 C20 hauler to crawler

Like this. I stole this from @Chinahands

After I almost busted my windshield out with the engine hoist I finally wrestled this thing into place! Splines lined up perfect somehow and it slid right in. :dunno:
Looks like my 205 is going to be clocked about right. I'd like it to be tucked up a little more but it's not bad.

Care to come show me how it's done? I still don't have mine in after several hours of messing with it. :dunno:
haha sorry man! If it matters to you... I shouldn't have tackled it on my own and I'm glad i have concrete! My head hurts from the 50-60 times I bounced it off the factory exhaust hanger, and the three times (that I know of) that I smacked it on my engine hoist.

Concrete = wonderful. Total game changer to have a roof, walls, and a FLOOR to work inside.

I try not to complain too much about my garage being too small because growing up we didn't have a garage and my dad had the bright idea to use crushed rock in our driveway... Not only did I get to shovel it all in by hand but I also got to do 90% of the maintenance and repairs on our vehicles after he suffered a back injury. I think he was milkin it. Sissy couldn't handle 3 fused disks in his lower back.

looks like it's at home, nice job

Yeah if those collectors clocked up 45 degrees they'd be money

Thanks man! Yeah I think I can make them work good still. They definitely aren't ideal for what I'm building but it's all good.

Thankfulness is a matter of perspective. I'd gladly trade shops with you. But my younger apartment-renting self would gladly trade places with my current self. I remind myself each time that I hate crawling through a sandbox to get under the truck.

P.S. - I also grew up doing repairs on crushed rock. I can't say that it's great, but in some ways I'd prefer that to the loose sand. The positive side of the sand is that I should be able to lay down a concrete pad pretty easily if I ever decide it's worthwhile. :)

Yeah and rocks don't make their way in your crack as easy as sand.
