Anyone have a source for the longer ring gear bolts? Pulling my hair out with all the little things like this that bring me to a standstill.

You want me to measure the bolts on my 4.56 carrier tonight?
I think they need to be 2.25” but if you can verify that for me that would be great! Looks like 4.10 and down carrier is 1.75” and I need another half inch. I found a 2.5” long bolt and it bottoms out before it tightens up so this seems about right.

I got tired of moping around trying to figure out what the future holds, and some parts I ordered last week showed up today, being that I sold a front 60 for $850.00 last week, and got a $100.00 bill for a bonus so this coming week is going to be like Christmas all over! I already mentioned it in a previous post, but I have a super secret surprise on its way too.

That last post made no sense because I was dozing off. I tried to edit it but it was too far gone so I gave up. Lol

What I was saying is I bought some cool stuff tonight and maybe I’ll finish this thing by the end of the month?!?!?

I fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought... ok you get it..... the carrier absolutely would not clear the spanner nuts, and then the ring gear was hitting the pilot bearing and got all jammed up. I had to give up last night because my arms were dead after an hour and a half of trying to get the rearend back together. Today I went out and it magically fell right into place! :dunno:

Pattern is good and it has fresh bearings on the carrier, so here we go! The locker is working properly as far as I can tell, but I still have to replace the leaky hub seals. I forgot to throw them on the list when I ordered parts, so I’ll have to get them here in town this weekend. I would really like to get a welded diff cover, but I think I’ll just have to beef up the factory cover for now.

So that’s the only picture I have to share, but hopefully next weekend will be a good weekend. :waytogo:

And I want to thank @obijuank5 once again for giving me a killer deal on the carrier.
