77 C20 hauler to crawler

I have nearly 600 highway miles on this, and I have compiled a list of things that need fixed, but haven’t had a chance to fix due to a hectic schedule.
1. Pinion angle sucks and the driveline vibration has driven me to a state of madness. Easy fix.
2. Breathers on valve covers are no bueno. Leaky leaky.... :angry1:
3. Looks like rear of oil pan is leaking a little. :angry1:
4. Need to replace Jonny joint shackle hangers with bushings. I don’t think I’ll sacrifice any flex by doing this but either way it’s a little spooky as @blazinzuk kind of hinted earlier on in this thread.
5. Clutch slave cylinder needs adjusted. The let out sucks.
6. Heater fan need replaced. Lol it squalls BAD.
7. Hook up sender to fuel gauge. But in a crazy note... I’m averaging 12mpg running anywhere between 65-80mph. :woot:
8. 203 needs pulled apart. Pretty sure I have a junk bearing. :doah:

Other than that I really can’t complain! I’ll finish putting the interior together one of these days and throw a little more sound deadener in and it’ll be pretty dang cushy!
 
Oh I forgot one thing on my list....
9. I lose oil pressure when I turn my wipers on. Lol this all started after a brass ink tube from a pen made its way out from the depths of hell somewhere in my dash and got stuck in the top of the headlight switch. I smelled a flowery kind of smell on my way to work one morning, and then a puff of smoke rolled out from under my dash. I made my way onto the shoulder and in record time I had it shut down, and was out of the truck looking under the dash for glowing wires. This is what I found.

1300 miles on it already.... but no wheeling yet. :surepal:
Still averaging 11-12mpg which blows my mind. Everything is working ok so far other than the stuff I listed already. Been busy with the kids build (I’ll update his thread soon) and work so I haven’t been able to get mine back in. The cam is a bit too aggressive. The power comes on around 2400rpm and which is at 81-82mph in OD. If I’m not paying attention I have to downshift going uphill. But as long as I keep it above 80 (2360rpm) all is well. But that’s ok. It cruises real good on the flats. The only real complaint I have is the lockrite..... don’t buy one. It was ok for a little while, but I’d honestly replace it with a spool if someone wanted to trade me. Absolutely hate the stupid thing!!!! If you let off full throttle at juuuuust the right time you can scatter large crowds of people when it unloads. :doah: But all in all I’m happy with it. This is the first time I’ve ever had just a few things I’ve wanted/needed to straighten out.
