77 K5 Just had to do it

So back to the grindstone.
Tearing into the fan/shroud issue I noticed about 1 1/4" clearance on the top and about 1/2" on the bottom? I found the shroud was hitting on a bolt head and a bulge in the shroud was hitting on the frame rail. This shroud was off of an 81+ truck at the wrecking yard. So out came the grinder/sawzall/file and abracadabra I now have about 3/4" inch clearance all around. Also @onetonbb74 suggested I put bolts back in the crossmember where the sway bar once resided. Duh, I felt pretty stupid for not thinking about that.

Sorry last post loaded too soon.
Anywhooo.......
I also pulled the t-case to fix the elusive missing low range issue. I really want to tear into it and try and fix it myself but I do not want to mess up my one million mile/lifetime warranty @Larry gave me when he installed the sye and 32 spline input.;) Actually I know when it comes to racing or wheeling no one will give any type of guarantee and I totally understand that. Larry being the standup guy that he is was sending me a message as soon as I got back to Colorado telling me to get it yanked and down to him so he could do an autopsy on it. Hoping it is something simple and I can get back out with the Colorado crew soon and get some much needed tricycle:flipoff11:. @Bent77 time.

I was thinking who needs low range with a fat block. :D
Ummm this guy. Granny gear,ARB and L29 were great but I can only lug an engine so much before it wants to stall out. Absolutely no finesse at all and starting out on Lions Back?? I was on @oatsk5 back bumper [sorry] before I knew it.

Imagine the power steering pump would have helped a bunch having the extra engine speed

It is an ironic statement from this guy considering I always run in 4lo. With the Magnun I tend to end up in double low. I'm glad with the controller on the 4l80e I can start in 2nd gear otherwise with the big block it easily over rides the brakes if I'm not paying close attention.

Ps and hydroboost seemed to work very good. It did push a little fluid out of the top of the reservoir after a lot of use but I may have had it a bit overfull. Could probably use a cooler somewhere.

I really like the color and stance of Ron's #crawlabego. Looks real good.

Blue is a nice color for a 77

Thanks guys, I knew it was going to be impossible to color match the fenders to the faded blue repaint this had but I was determined to make it a "50 footer" for BB. If you squint your eyes, at night, after about 5 shots it looks great!

Color sucks to match anyway
