Thanks Dean, after checking out your rig at BB that is a hell of a compliment. I am totally satisfied with how the L29 conversion turned out, especially considering it was my first EFI conversion.Badass build...keep it up. Makes me want a L29.
I am starting to consider it too.Badass build...keep it up. Makes me want a L29.
So did you and @ZooMad75 compare notes on hill climbs, fuel mileage and such about your travels to Moab?
I rechecked my average after filling up once we got home. It went up a tenth from what I originally reported. 11.45 mpg for the entire trip. Pretty silly measuring mileage in tenths though. I haven't heard what Ron's trip mileage was.
We did talk a little about how they did compared to each other. On highway hill climbs the L29 was the champ while I was buzzing the little 5.3 to the moon and back. On off road hill climbs mine was a little more stable. Ron did mention to me he missed the sway bar up front on the highway as I was taking some corners at a bit higher rate than he felt comfortable with. But a little of that is I'm going on my second year driving this combo with the camper and I've got a better feel for the road. His feel will come with seat time for sure.
I think this truck should be your CK5 avatar.....
Updated that quote for ya a bitSo let me see if I got this straight.... The crew cab guy (whose name isn’t MrCCguy) thinks I should drop my CC avatar for a Blazer??
Yeah, the Crawlabago is going to be the rig you are associated most with here. I actually pondered changing my screen name to MrCrewCab, but I just couldn't do it.So let me see if I got this straight.... The crew cab guy thinks I should drop my CC avatar for a Blazer??
Congrats on winning GMOTM!
Thanks guys, to be recognized by the CK5 community is truly an honor.Congrats fellow Crawlabago!
Thanks, after looking at your build that is a hell of a compliment. I have a line on a FWC camper for a Blazer but the guy wants 2 grand for it.Love this build. I would love to find a camper shell for the cucv.
Man if I had the money I would scoop that up. I still have a lot to do before blazer bash lolThanks, after looking at your build that is a hell of a compliment. I have a line on a FWC camper for a Blazer but the guy wants 2 grand for it.
