got a short block, heads, intakes, supercharger, and a whole bunch of trim items (including some cool hood emblems somebody found:whistle:..:bow:)
should be bitching place to hangout if I ever get it done!:doah:

Still need a few more doodads for it...mostly just headers the rest is easy.

But the brakes are shot and the front end needs ball joints and a tie rod.
I think I should fix those things up first,but I don`t want to spend anything on those 3.08 diffs. I need to get myself another parts truck, hopefully a 3/4 ton with 4.11s. I`ll see about that.

But hoping to have it in before summer is over. :dunno:

I just found a 81 3/4 ton axles for sale. 14 rear,10 front
Talked the guy into selling me the whole truck...minus the engine and trans. To bad about the trans it is a 465 with a 208.

I haven't seen it and don`t know what gears are in it?
He still has to pull the motor so I should be getting it on my next weekend off, two weeks.

Any guess as to what gears a 81 4 speed 3/4 ton would have?? 3.73s or I`m hoping 4.10 :popcorn:

Oh and I got it for 200.00!! :D
 
That's what I was thinking 4.10 Should work out good getting the whole truck, for some of the other little things mine is missing.
 
are you sure its a 14bff? not the 14bsf? not sure what year the sf started but my 85 had one in it with 3.73's.
 
No not sure. I haven't seen it. But if it is 3.73 and 14 sf there is a 3.73 ff here beside the shop. even still those axles will be better than what I got.
And for 200 I don't think I could go wrong.
 
Yeah John, he doesn't get the transmission. That's the bad part.

I think under 8500gvw was semi float and 8600+ was FF.
 
Guess we will have to wait and see. :popcorn:

I should have went for a drive and looked at it today...it`s about a hour away from me.
