Mine was doing that. Try taking fuses out one by one when it's parked overnight (or however long it's taking for the battery to die) until it doesn't die one night. Mine was a bad cigarette lighter.

The easier way is to disconnect one of the battery leads and put a test light between the disconnected post and cable. The light will light up. Then pull fuses until the light goes out. Quick fast and easy.

I didn't think of that at the time. Dang you guys are smart.

The problem with the test light method is computer controlled vehicles are always powering radio, and computers. So there is a natural draw in the system anyways. Using a multimeter instead of the test light will give you a very accurate depiction of your draw. Just be very careful or you will blow the multimeter fuse if you have the leads plugged in wrong. A test light will work in a pinch though.

If you hook up a multimeter in voltage mode like that, you'll see a big spark and your leads will be melted on the end. You need to use the ammeter ports for that. Been there and done that. :haha:

Yep, burned up mine the first time. I wired in my headlight relays and windstar relays at the same time and had one of them powered all the time and ran my battery down overnight. I bought a nicer meter the second time and it had a much better layout and display and I learned how to do it. With my battery in the back seat, I could read the meters screen and pull fuses at the same time. Made it much better.

Got me a new tow rig/daily, 02 Duramax with 105k miles :D. Haven't touched the K10 in weeks... been too cold to mess with it.

I've been sorta looking for the right truck to come along for a while now. This one popped up on Craigslist and within 24hrs it was mine. I had to jump on it quick cause there were people in line! I am really happy with it so far.

Thanks guys!

Nice score :waytogo: looks really clean and low miles !!

Now set up a trailer and tow the K10 out to MI for the summer dune party :)

Good looking truck dude :waytogo:

Agreed on the trailer thing, but come this way to CO and come wheeling with me :D
