Obviously the thread will be an ever maturing thing, but to keep it from getting out of hand, and condoning destructive behavior, I suggest that we 'tread lightly' so to speak, and not destroy any property or blatantly break any laws in an effort to get a sweet photo.

After all- we don't want to ruin the mall crawlers' shimmering reputation with our dirty, mutated, bent and sawzalled sheetmetal sub-species antics...:haha:

Also it would be really easy for law enforcement personnel to get evidence of trespassing - just look on ck5.com.

Lets not talk ourselves out of it now :) We're grown buys and girls, surely we can be responsible enough to pull this off... lol right

Thats sig material right there. :haha::haha:

I'm excited to get this thing out of my truck and under yours!

Me too, but it may be a few weeks till its under my truck.

The axle is a DRW D60 with 4.56 gears for anyone that cares. Picked it up on Craigslist for $500 which isn't bad I don't think. I haven't looked at it too close yet, but one lockout is broken so I will need to get a matching one or some new ones. Im sure it will need some brake work too, at least pads. Im new the the D60's and king pins so any advice would be appreciated.

NAPA had loaded calipers for like $40. None on the shelf though, so you'll have to order them in.

Got the axle move into the garage, damn these are heavy som bitches. Nick was so kind as to power wash it off at his work. Both hubs spin over very nicely so I'll probably just take them apart and repack them and call it good for them. Rotors look fine, but will probably do like Marty said and get some rebuilt loaded caliper from a parts store. Can I use my existing brake lines on these calipers?

I'll most likely get spring plates and U bolts from ORD.

D60 lockouts must hold their value. They are over $100 for a used pair like what are on it now.

Pics for the hell of it.
