79 Blazer with a few modifications
Fair enough! I was thinking you had slipped the back off a ledge and peeled the plate off or something. That's pretty creative how you moved the whole tapered section inboard like that. Not much room for error.

When/why did you switch from the white tailgate to this blue one?

When the decision was made to paint the blazer I found a nice straight Chevrolet tailgate to replace the GMC one. Thanks for noticing that detail. I thought that it would look nice and was a nice challenge.

I have left a Colorado plate somewhere in Moab doing this very thing, I support this mod
 
Taking the rear axle out to finish off the welding and fit it with a truss over the top. I’m switching to an ARB diff in the rear as well.
