79 Blazer Smash 2.0

79 Blazer with a few modifications
Well drawing air from the passenger compartment is reason enough to quiet the intake.
The air cleaner is in the passenger compartment, however it draws air from outside at the cowl.

I’ve put so many rivet nuts in I’ve lost count. Trying to eliminate all the self tapping screws that hold anything important in place. Building brackets and mounting stuff up like heater, surge tank, power steering reservoir. Moving forward one little step at a time.

Rollcage , rollcage , rollcage , rollcage , rollcage…………………. What designs do you prefer?
1. Hoops perpendicular to chassis
2 hoops horizontal to chassis
3 halo hoop with down bars

One piece , perfectly straight overhead horizontal runs that are parallel to the top of the bed rail. To me, this creates a really clean smooth look that visually pleasing. I couldn’t do it on mine because I bought a kit (no bender) but I like that uninterrupted line.

Like this cage in the old “Premudder” magazine build.

This is what I have in mind.

Needs more triangles!

Blue looks good.

I think I’d like red more if the 2 B pillar bars came together at a single joint up top with the bend for the rear kicker.

An old MIA CK5er used to always say “no dead nodes”.
