'79 K20 vs. an '84 K20, which would you choose?

Alright, here's another.

1980 GMC.

I went and looked at this one. 350/TH400/NP205 (Slip Yoke). Has a 14BFF out back and a 10 bolt up front. Really nice sheet metal and a really nice Weathergard tool box.

Interior is decent, radio hole hasn't been cut. Dual tank, guy hooked up an electric fuel pump.thay he says is pulling fuel out of both tank simultaneously....

Has an Eddy manual choke carb and a nice eddy aluminum intake, even has some aluminum heads. Said he just threw a Comp Cams cam and some other stuff in the engine. Plugs are getting a lot of oil on them... Said it's gonna need new piston rings and push rods.

Front driver fender has a rusted out piece down at the back of the wheel well, bed has 1 small bit of rust and the passenger side wheel well in the bed has a small portion. Other than that it's rust free.

Windows and I believe locks are electric. Passenger side window doesn't roll down. Driver side door needs shimmed.

Don't have any more pics of it but it's pretty nice.

Was just about to ask about those body lines
That's what I'm gonna assume it is. There's no sign that it's been in an accident. On the passenger side the bed protrudes past the cab about an inch or so if you look at it from the front of the truck.

Guessing there was a heavy fella driving it most of the time?

I'm leaning towards this truck. If I have to do an engine swap a BBC and ORD crossmember will go in. I've got a line on a few big blocks in the area.

I'm leaning towards this truck due to the sheet metal. Rockers are 100% there, cab corners 100% there. Not even surface rust on the underside and the guy was more than willing to negotiate on the price and have his AAA tow it to my place.

Another engine is obviously gonna need to go in it and I need to get a fixed yoke on that 205.

And depending on how you want to finish it, he aluminum heads and intake will put some coin in your pocket if you get that one and swap it to a big block.

I'd like to do a big block. I've got a good 350 sitting around that I could use.

That truck has a nice newer set of Germans and a full dual exhaust ran all the way to the back. Might be best to just keep it small block for now.

It's a really sweet truck that needs a few things... like an engine lol.

If I get it if get rid of the electric fuel pump. Probably delete the passenger side tank and if the driver tank is 100% just swap a new sending unit into it.

I've got a 4106 style Holley sitting around too.

Still gota check out the '79 but it sounds like your almost decided on this one.

Gonna be driving on the highway for about 45 minutes and have a question on the NP203. This truck has locking hubs on it so obviously make sure the are unlocked.

Do I put the t-case in Hi and drive like that or?
