Have a line on a set of axles from a 79 k30.

If its truely a k30, should be a d60 front, correct?

I keep asking for pics, and i get pics of the rear....hopefully i can get a pic to identify this 60 before i drive out and pay $$$

What is the going rate of a chevy d60 front in standard condition? $500-1000?

K30 = dana 60
if it has 4.10's and is in good shape SRW (single wheel ) 900 - 1000

If it has 4.56's and it's a SRW 900 - 1100

Have him throw in the rear axle too... even if you pay an extra 100 bucks...

You'll know a dana 60 when you see it...
if the u-joint in the knuckle looks as big as your fist.. it's a 60

Yep, D60.

If it has good gears and is in working condition a grand is a fair price. Worse condition the lower it goes obviously.

We all know those folks who can get whole running 1 tons for $400 but none of them is us...so if you can find one and it's a good deal...try and haggle but don't let it go.

It SHOULD be a d60. Make sure... Id say 500+ anything over 800 is getting steep. Depending on condition of course...

Being a '79 should lower the price considerably because the shafts will be the neck-down type. But the seller/owner probably doesn't know the difference regardless of axles.

The last few dana 60's I've sold were all for at least $1000.

If you can get one for three digits I would be all over it.

What he said.

I see people on the forums saying how you shouldn't pay more than a grand but boy, I don't personally know anyone who has managed to do that.

hm. I have pics, looks like a 60 to me.
Need to go look tmr, but loading a d60 and 14ff in my burb is gonna suck.

I have no need for them, but could use the money towards my build.

Anyone want one in the nor cal area? I'll make you a deal on the contact info....haha, cut out the middleman (Me) picking it up

Maybe i can go pick them up tmr.

Heres pics, is it a 60? they say 10 bolt, but thats the same number of bolts on a 60 cover. Looks kinda puny to be a 60?

doesn't make sense to me. i saw that too

and the price on a d60 is anywhere from 750-1200 dependant on gears, condition, locker, brakes, hubs, rust, etc. etc

Around here a high pinion kingpin 60 is worth more like $1500.

The price keeps going up as more people switch to D60's

It's not a D60 unless they had some where the spring perch wasn't part of the diff.

hm, i wonder whats up.

The rear pics look even wierder, there is some random angle pieces welded in.....
