'79 K5 Build for the PNW...(Pic Heavy)

WOW! Talk about a deal. After looking at your thread I went on the HF website and the 12 ton is $110 and the 16 ton is $200. Which one is yours?

Well, it's been a while since an update...

I've got a lot of the welding done, finished up the passenger side and almost have the hood done...

Ran the hose for the propane, still need to mount the tanks...

But,,,

It steers...

Picked up the hose and fittings for the full hydro and got everything ran... Bleed it for a while, then dropped it on the shop floor(concrete) on 38.5s, welded front diff, hubs locked and it turned with no problems...:D

I'll get some pics up when I get a chance and throw up some specs for everyone... I'm pretty excited... It runs and steers...

Next is the d-lines and brakes...

Hoping to hit the Busywild in the mext month...:D

Gonna have a few other Blazers that know the Busy pretty well as my support group...

Should be epic...

Sweet bro, glad to see you back at it... where were you yesterday? took the burb on the sunrise, alittle damage but fun as hell! Won a free septic tank pumping... is your $hitbox full? Got a passenger side fender?

No passenger fenders... Got a driver side, but it's older than your burb fenders...

I was wanting to hit the bad spot at the top of the sunrise before they get it fixed, but looks like I'll be a little late...

You need to finish the Blazer so you don't have to keep wheelin the Burb...

Well, I'm having problems with pics for some reason...

But, got the d-lines done...

The brakes front and rear are done, with a sh!t ton of grinding on the dana 60 calipers to fit the 15" rims...

Rear shocks are done...

A couple more things and it's on like donkey kong...

A lot of little loose ends, but there's always that kinda stuff to deal with...

I'll try and get the pics of the steering, d-lines, shocks and garage flexing up when I figure out what my problem is...

It's finally ready!!!

Taking it out this weekend...

I'll post pics of the run...

I also weighed it and it came in at 5360 lbs, that's with gear, tools, both tanks(one full) and nobody in it...

Thats right about where my k5 is, full bodied, tons, h1's and 38's and about 25 gallons of gas. Pretty impressive, I figured you would be pretty heavy with all that plate and tube. I look forward to the pics of its first outing

any pictures og the wheelin trip ...bet you had alot of fun...me personally never been to a off road park,,.....probaly wouldnt leave .....

Well Luey, weighed the burb today... 6690 + my trailer @ 2200 and your Blazer being 5360... 14,250 0n a 700r4 w/5.13's & 38's. Hmmm, hope I can keep er cool enough... see you in the a.m. ......

Dustin, thanks for dragging my turd out there...

Everything seemed to work great... Did break the tranny mount though...

Don't have any pics, I forgot the camera...:doah:

Dustin did get some pics, it looks great... Really small for a fullsize...

Thanks for posting up the video Dustin...

Now I need to fix it and hit Elbe... Wish I could of tested a little more, but oh well...

Had a blast bro, your rigs built well with very minor things to address. Thats a success in my book. Can't wait to pivot around the busy :D
