79 K5 H-Bomb build

I have that pump too.... but that pump does not work with the hydramat. I also have the external pump and kit that the sniper master kit sells with. I’m pretty frustrated at this point...

If the new tank I bought had baffles, I would just say screw it and run the stock pump and sock but of course I managed to get the unbaffled version.

Learning the hardway.

Any issue just clipping the leads and splicing them to make the pigtails work? I ask because I don’t want to create a potential explosive device. I feel like I can get the fitment issue with the hanger to work.

Just checked in to see how the pump thing was working

My .02, I'd probably find the correct ends for the pump. I happen to get luck and got GM pump with both

So any updates on the K5?

Yes, but nothing really exciting enough to post... I gutted the stock gauge cluster to make room for the autometer gauges, gave up on the fuel pump/hydramat for now (going to run stock pump/sock) and put the tank together, burned the shock mounts in, notched the passenger side frame for a littler extra header room, and cleaned up the shop.

What's left to fire the engine?

Not too much... run the fuel lines, finish getting the critical gauges wired up, install the starter, re-install the headers with a cheater pipe for the 02 sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, radiator support/radiator/fluid... other little things.

Running AN line right? Can't remember what you planned, it's been too long :D

You need to break in the cam too right?

Trans & cases are in?

Using rubber FI line, cam is a roller so it doesnt really need to be "broken in" like flat tappet... although I still plan on breaking it in like a flat tappet. Trans is bolted up but the stall is not, x-fer case(s) are still on my bench (need to re-do x-members).
