Flip the mount. Make it a tension not compression. Not sure it really matters but that is what I got figured when I built mine. Not sure if it would fit either but......

How are you going to get that x-member in there now? Is there room to twist it sideways and slide in?

It twists & turns up in there. JUST enough room. I have 1" body lift. I put it up top to keep things looking clean. ORD states that shackles pointed up or down will not effect performance so I went with up.

Cool thanks. I need to get on that. These ord springs and a big block.....Nice job on the t-case bench presses. That shit gets harder every year.

I'm just glad it was not material for a "gear head fail" video. That's kind of what I was expecting actually.

very cool build!! anxious to see more progress!

Yes, it is the ORD fab kit. Came with all of the joints & shackles & axle brackets. You just have to add bars, a gusset & a crossmember. I called them & went with there reccomended material on the tubes. I made it as long as possible as reccomended. They use a spherical urethane joint at the pointy end of the bar. I still need to add a gusset to mine.

Couldn't tell from the picture.
How long did it end up being. Mine is like 60 inches or so.
In my race car building past, always went with the idea that traction bars were suppose to point basically to the center of the gravity of the vehicle. So in theory it would use that to transfer that said weight to the rear axle. Mine is pointing a bit high.

Ya know that was my first thought. I'm thinking yep, he wants this on video if anything goes wrong. Glad it didn't though. Tool is a nice choice of music too....

Headed to get my wheels from Trail Worthy Fab tomorrow! Sure wish I had the coin to spring for there new 17" Double D's.

Andy at Trail Worthy hooked me up with a great set of wheels. I know they do not usually re center a wheel after it already has a rock ring on it & powdercoating. I'm sure these took extra time. They turned out great. As soon as paint is dry I'll get these D rated BFGs mounted & start putting some miles on her! Oh wait! I need driveshafts, 3 more shocks, fluids, a set of gears, ehhhh, getting close anyway.

I bought the tires complete mounted on wheels. Yes, that is a Hudgkins runflat that also acts as the beadlocks.
