The iPad I have is equipped with GPS & has a cellular account linked with my phone. All of my ITunes music is on there, I can text & receive messages. I am using multiple apps for GPS. Google earth, google maps, Avenza etc. the Avenza allows me to download the maps onto the iPad so even if I loose service my maps are in hard storage. It's really pretty cool, there are different layers to the maps so you have multiple viewing options. You can track time moving, distance traveled, average speed, min/max speed, bread crumb a trail, pin locations. Yes you can do all of this on an iPhone, but there are definite advantages to the separate unit. Obviously the larger screen size, & that's a big deal when driving/navigating. Not loosing your navigation capability while taking a call. Downloaded maps on a unit with a large storage capacity. I can mount my go pro anywhere on my truck & watch real time footage from the go pro on the GoPro app. The list goes on. With the limited experience with it, I think it's bigass titties.
