8 lug 10 bolt

Single 3" will outflow dual 2.5".

I'm not quite sure about that comment. Dual 2.5" pipes have almost 10 square inches of "flow area" while a single 3" is only about 7 square inches. However dual 2.5" pipes do have more surface area and thus will cause more flow restriction which equals it out some, but not sure if it equals out all.

I've seen it in good sources and heard it from reliable people enough to believe it.

Also notice that GM went to single pipe on their diesels instead of the duals. Gotta be a reason...

ok i have a real live question for you guys.

when you put new bearings in the axle hub and you need to put new races in the hub assembly how do you get the bearing races in and out. is there like a stop in the hub so you drive it in to far or what.

should i buy a seal and race driving setup or can it be done with like a socket and a hammer

I've always done it with a brass punch and a hammer.

There's a lip the race seats against.

It all kinda fits together, you'll see.

Got a tech manual?

nah i dont have a tech manual but i've hade my hubs apart enough to know how it goes together. i just wasent real sure on gettin the bearings out of the hubs. im sure ill get it figured out and if i dont ill just get back on here hahaha

cool cool, found a great deal on a 4 speed up at school but i dont have the money for it now and i think he is selling it this weekend, he just asked me first if i wanted to buy it first

Damn, don't tell me that.

Keep having delusions of a hydro 465 with a Ranger box.

haha yea i need to get a 465 205 for the old truck in a bad way, right now in stuck with th350 and np203. cant complain they never broke but ive been pretty conservative of the go fast pedal

Eh, unless you have a crazy power engine both are known for durability. Blandness as well but still, not bad stuff.

yea but im in the process of gathering parts for a lq9 swap in haha but i need to get a 4 speed so i dont have to worrry about kickdown and stuff in my trans. and its always fun to shift gears until in town lol and i think maybe one day ill run a 203 205 doubler so i might as well just run one until the swap hahaha...... big dreams when you have a very small cash flow

kjunky5 is doing about the same swap right now. He's over in BG.

yea i seen he was, ill have to ask him some questions when i start my swap. to bad BG is like 3 hours away from georgetown lol
