Well, I just ordered another radiator. This will be my third in like 6K miles. It will probably be my last one, summit said they will give me a refund for it if I want or just keep replacing them.
Looks like I will have to start looking into other radiators. I'm currently setup to fit a big block radiator and honestly I think that it would be more than enough to keep the 5.3 cool. A diesel radiator would cost me twice as much as a BB radiator and $30 more than my Griffin cost. I want to stay to radiators I can pick up at a part store. That way I can warranty it out without having to deal with shipping. That shit is annoying.
My Griffin is a 28x19 core with two 1-1/4 rows. That thing never gets over 190 unless I'm sitting stationary for 10 plus min.
A HD BB w/ AC is 28x20 with four 5/8th rows
Tube surface area is very similar if I did my math right. I don't actually know what I'm doing though.

Made a mount for the high lift today. Bolts down with a matching lug nut at the back and wing nut up front. Will be covered up with a locking mount for the maxtrax so nobody can steal my shit. not that I leave it in the truck when I’m not on a trip

Took a trip down south for the weekend for the WErock event. Spent the night at Gunlock reservoir. Daisy parked next door for the day while I hangout with Scott at the rock crawl. I can’t think of anything that needs to change about the truck other than noise. I can go 80 all day with the AC on max with no issues. But it’s just so loud in the cab.

A friend of mine gave me a sweet 1974 Honda CL360 today. His failed attempt at building a bike is now mine to try out. I’ve always wanted an old simple bike to turn into a brat. And I’m a huge Honda motorcycle fanboy. My plan is to clean all the extra junk off the frame. No tabs or anything that isn’t being used. Hide the wires, build a little battery box high and tight under the seat with a mini battery just to power the ignition for start up. Remove the electric start and anything else not required to be legal. Then lower it and maybe stretch the swing arm a few inches. Toss on a flat cafe racer style seat and keep the knobie tires. A simple clean minimal bike. I don’t really know if I’ll keep the dirt bars or go clip ons

Yeah, I am extremely limiting myself on this budget. Its not like I need it, I have other bikes. Thats one of the perks of the simple build though, I just need a seat, some fab work and lights. I helped him get it running and driving a year ago or so. At least I know that works

So the bike runs and rides. I took it around the yard a few times yesterday. Today I cut most of the tabs off of the back. Orders some random parts I’ll need like a small antigravity battery, modern regulator/rectifier, air filters, and a seat. Once the seat gets in I’ll cut off that rear hoop and make one that matches the seat length and shape. Then start working on an electronics box to mount under the seat. I also mailed all my paperwork off to Vermont. Hopefully they don’t take too long to get me some plates.

This will be my first "road" bike build, up to this point I've been all about dirtbikes and my one supermoto. I guess thats why I can't give up the knobby tires. Im sure I'll have this thing on some trails every once in a while

I don't have a title for the bike. Vermont does not title vehicles over 15 years old and therefore does not require a title to register them. Their registration is legal proof of ownership.
You give them a bill of sale and the fees for registration/sales tax and they will send you legal proof of ownership and a year of registration. Assuming the vin comes back clean and not stolen which you should have researched before starting this process or buying the vehicle
You then take your new legal proof of ownership to your local DMV and ask for a title since you are the owner and Vermont does not issue tittles.
I could have done all of this here Utah as this state isn't bad about it. I would have just needed to write up a a statement of facts as to how I came into possession of the bike, and why I dont have proof of ownership. Then take a bunch of pictures of the bike to prove that it is worth less than $1000. Mail all that into the DMV and wait for 90 days while they research the vin. If they come back saying its worth more than $1000 I pay for a bond, less than $1000 I just pay for the title. Once the time is up and nobody claims it, it is mine.
I just choose Vermont because I have done this before and they are always good to me about it so I give them my money. Im actually thinking of moving all of my registrations to them now because their green plates are cool and they now have online renewal.

Nope. You don’t need to be a resident of Vermont to register a vehicle there.
