80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

Dam, wish I lived closer!
Anxious to see this all live!

And onto the aux. alternator.

Soon as that is done I'll jump back to the rad and other coolers, exhaust and engine cage.

aaaaand what may be a stoopy question. That looks suspiciously like a vacuum booster; is there a vacuum pump on the motor or something? Or is that just a place holder until you switch to hydroboost?

these engines do have a vacuum pump as installed in the Dodge applications, not sure if Kert is keeping it or not as its between the PS pump and the gear drive train.

What are you going to do about a steering intermediate shaft? are you going to use that bolt sticking up for a heim to change the angle of the shaft?

Hmm, I was hoping to see a mount that would work on my dodge when I get it going. I know it is really tight the drivers side.

I am considering keeping the vaccum boost brakes. We ran vaccum boost brakes on Stompers rig and they work excellent. I know the hydro boost brakes are better, however, I have lost a steering line in the field and at that time, I had wished the two systems were separate.

It looks to me that the steering shaft will go right under the compressor. I don't think it will need any additional joints in it

Steering intermediate shaft will have two joints in it. The steering box is further inboard than what the factory did and also a vertical angle change. Two joints is pretty standard. I won't be using a rag joint.

That's smart. Looks like the best option to me.

Agree with that thinking as well
Ive had too many PS line issues myself

Here's our solution to mounting the aux. alternator/welder. This one was kind of a biatch to find a mounting location.
