80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

Everything looks great! :waytogo:
Why don`t you like the 90?
Did you guy`s use a muffler on Stompers Rig? It sounds Sweet! And you should hound him to drive it more and take more video!:popcorn:

How long are those front shackles...any concern of the front end being wishie washy like that?

If I would have went with two 45's as opposed to the single 90, I would have had it further from the tire. Just more clearance. If it rubs, it'll get changed. If not, it'll stay as is.

Nope, no muffler on stompers rig. His does sound good. Mine is a bit closer to the outside of the truck so there may be a bit more sound volume. Guess we'll know next week.

Those are 6" front shackles. Pretty much the standard with 52's in the front. There is a bit more weight to add up front and in the middle so the angle will improve as time goes on. Lookin' like its gona end up about perfect when its all said and done.

Nope. Somewhere in china theres children extruding stainless bar stock into that profile and wrapping them around dies lol.

Yep, crazy aint it.

Should have a radiator in hand this week as well as the adapter fittings for the clutch master cylinder and slave. Going from the roll pin fitting to -3AN.

Workin' on the steering lines now so we can have some fluid in the pump for a test start up.

Does anybody know if the ARB snorkel that has been seen on Ck5 recently will flow enough air for the 5.9 cummins?

What's the ID of the snorkel? Maybe someone in here does that'd help being a determining factor.

I read somewhere that the output diameter of the snorkel was 3 1/4". That seems pretty small.

Yeah seams pretty tiny, my 7.3 and duramax are both 4" I can't remember what the cummins I had was but not that small I'd think.

just going by the turbo inlet size, I'd say 4" is about right. Any smaller and it'd be constricting.

So, no real point in trying to use the ARB style snorkel. Doesn't mean I don't want to get the air intake up higher. Piping a 4" tube up the side of the A pillar might look kinda dumb, just a little to big.

I'll have to think about this one a bit.

Fab a more rectangular/ovaled type of snorkel that would have the same volume as 4" tube and suck it in closer to the body?

If you want to be real fancy, pipe one into the cab. They really aren't all that loud.

I've never routed a turbocharged one into the cab but after removing the factory intake on my 7.3 that ran through the grill and installing just a large air filter under the hood you can hear the turbo spool in the cab especially with the windows down. I can't imagine if it was in the cab with me. :eek1:

How about routing one into the cab and then back out of the cab.

You've seen Chris' (dirtroadoutlaw) snorkel, no? It was home brew also. You could pick his brain.

Yeah I forgot my smiley face :haha:

How about duplicating the exhaust routing on the left side and place a filter up in the rear some where high.
