No offense but I'm not a fan of the grille, not even a little bit.

I don't care for it either, but I am a stickler for OEM parts, and most people know that aboute already.

I think if it had some depth it'd improve aesthetically 100%, as far as the winch it was always my thought (when in a million years I have a vehicle) to go with a receiver mount set up so you could swap ends quickly for whatever the predicament may be, hell even maybe incorporate some receiver mounts into the sliders at some point. It's not always about pulling back or forward, sometimes the war is won laterally, inches at a time. Just a thought.
I think if you cut those LED turn signals into the grille and went with aftermarket headlights that could also get cut into the grille then it would totally change the look. Would probably look way better with the bumper in place too 
It's all good. I knew a lot of people would not like it and to be honest I'm still on the fence. From some angles I like it and from some I don't.
One hang up I got with making it have depth or roughly translated to "more complicated" is if I need to replace or repair it. What is there is simple.

I have been trying to think of a simple way to add depth and bring the lights out to the grille and the oval ones are hard but the headlights would be easy.
So if you cut a much larger single hole for the lights. Then built a bezel. So the depth and larger hole would not be an integral part to the grille. Totally seperate. Just 5 peices of aluminum or steel or whatever and a trim bar seperating them.
As far as the turn signals go I think you should ditch the full hole idea and just extend the grille cutouts. Or do a different cutout.
I think if you added the headlight thing and once you get the bumper on that would improve the looks tremendously. It's just too tall right now gotta reduce the visual bulk and depth does that
Oh also bolt the bezel on so with the same screws used to hold the hole thing in.

Not my style at all. But I don't think I'll knock it until I see how it looks with it all done and a bumper in front of it.
I think the main reason I don't dig it is because to keep the S in the project, a stock grill would he perfect and look nice. Especially with a tastefully done, protective bumper.
But as you well know, it's your truck! And who cares if I think it looks the way I want it to look?! And you seem to have an inability to do things in a conventional way. So do whatever feels right to you.

Can you make a overlay? What I'm thinking is making another grill but combine the head lamp holes, maker lights in another hole, and the radiator opening one big hole. Then lay the new grill over the other grill. It may give it more depth.
Its different thats for sure. Not sure if it would look better painted the body color to kind of blend in. Like the new vehicles on the road. I know it would be more work but what about doing like Phantom grille? Might be just me but I like the looks of the thin billet bar style.
