80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

So, you are sitting at a stop light and the person in front of you isn't paying attention and is instead playing on their phone and doesn't realize the light has turned green. What do you do, just simply wait until the light cycles around again and hope they are done playing on their phone by then?

I don't use my horn often but when I do there is a good reason and not to invoke road rage.

What was that someone said about thread padding?
Get CLOSER:D I don't mind waiting to see their face in the mirror...:haha:
DIY would be pretty cool. But with fangs and horns and on fire while eating a hostess ding dong, and you're going to need red glowing eyes too.
:haha::haha::haha: that would have fit better on the blazer:thumb:

I agree it's not a chevy. Half the trucks on this site have a chevy logo and that's about it. this one would be more appropriate with an ABRAM's logo. all it needs now is a little armor plating and a twin .50 turret :waytogo:

Horns are useless and I personally think NO car should have one..... so if it's audible it's more than loud enough:waytogo:[/quote]

We have our Dog trained to come back to the truck by the sound of the horn.

A Pad inspired by Fumes! :D

I was thinking maybe I'd hold off on the pictures of the new grille till the whole truck is finished and painted, ready to roll.

 Cant wait :thumb: be an awesome reveal  I love the whole start and direction of this build.

So, a while back I decided I wanted to do something different with the pitman arm. This is quite a while back.

I fabbed up 5 arms to play with. These are all 1" thick, and super beefy. A little to beefy actually. The splining would be easier if it were a tad thinner. Like maybe 7/8". This arm has about 2.5" offset if memory serves.

So today we splined 2 of the 5. First as a bit of a test run and the second was a full spline which you see pictured here. Splines are not quite as clean as I'd like to see and we went a touch big on the taper so it goes on a little to far. Upside is the concept is proven and now I need to fine tune it.

As I posted on fb. Will this work with 4wd box?

No, it is for the 2wd box. The 4wd sector shaft is fairly weak. I don't think I'd spend the time trying to make anything work for that.

Light bar arrived today. Now we can get the mounting tabs welded to the bumper.

I believe its a 26" light bar.

Gona put it under the "stinger" tube on the front bumper.

Almost got the last of the steel lines in place. Work is progressing on the air intake.

Be swapping out to a GM dana 60 in the very near future.

Then its time to turn the truck around and start working in other areas.

Did you ever get the motor to run right?

I haven't pursued it very much. We did note a kinked fuel supply line when we were trying the first time. We have since replaced that line. I maintain that the line was the same as when it had ran previously and it wasn't completely kinked shut.

My thinking is this, the line should not have prevented the engine from idling. That being said, I can see it being enough of a fuel flow restriction that at speed it would have caused an issue at some point.

Haven't tried to start it since the line was replaced. I'm not horribly concerned about it at this point. There is a lot of time between now and when I need it to run and will be much easier to work on when things are coming back apart for paint, powder and plating.

Seems like its been forever since I've been able to make any progress on my truck.

Starting to bother me a bit.
