Could you make a small break to fit in a press that uses a section of tubing to get the smooth corner you need? Have a U shaped piece to replace the sharp "V" in the break and have a piece with a slightly smaller OD to press into it for a rounded corner?
Why not just do a traditional cowl hood?
use a piece of tube as an anvil and a body hammer, easy peezy...
Actually, I have a round top punch, just need a round bottom die. Easy to make the top puch but the bottom kinda sucks to make. Its doable. Probably the direction I'll go next
I suppose you could use a traditional cowl hood. Had one of those once and didn't like how wide and in the way it always was. Besides, nothing says turbo like the offset intake.

Sort of... In my mind the shaker is on the outside while, my outside piece will not shake. The inside will shake, with soft seal to the hood.

its nothing compared to yours, but this winter i will be starting with a new frame.
For my hood i just left the hole, but mine has a plastic housing around the air cleaner and, well, im lazy.
Working on the steering column today. Got the universal joint fitting properly. Then decided to check out all the wiring for the turn signals and what not before putting it back in and seems I have some issues.
Shouldn't you be able to ohm out the turn signal wires? There is a main power and 2 lefts and 2 rights for turn signals but I can't get anyting to ohm out and verify a connection.

Did you try moving the lever?
Yep, and it clicks into position but no reading on any wires. Its like the thing is dead.
I can however, get a good ohm reading from the ignition portion of the harness. Run position is there as well as accessory power. I don't get an ohm reading on the "start" portion of the key switch.
It may have some corrosion from sitting. Pull the steering wheel and spray contact cleaner on the mechanism.
Even sometimes moving the lever back and forth would clean it to get good contact.
I just sold 2.... but i can look this weekend when i go back home.
What did you do?
I've got a tilt column from a 78 if you're interested, manual trans in good shape other than the tilt is just starting to come loose.
