Yeah, let me know. My friend is looking for a manual trans tilt but not sure he has one. Tilt is no problem, its the manual trans portion that is hard to find.

What did you do?

Got inside it and dug around. It's pretty nasty. Not sure I'd trust it enough to use. I could probably clean it up and possibly make it work but columns are pretty easy to come by.

I've got a tilt column from a 78 if you're interested, manual trans in good shape other than the tilt is just starting to come loose.

I ended up getting a tilt column, manual transmission steering column today for 50. Older one so the turn signals are not on the stick. That's perfect for me.
 
I know right! Kert is just like way too busy with... IDK, life or something and simply refuses to produce for us. Either that or he's just a teasing whore.

Got a lot of projects going on. Trying to get some last minute stuff done before winter sets in. Had a few honey dos that needed some attention today.

We have been making some modest progress though. Nothing really photo worthy lately. I'll probably get back on that steering column this week and get that done up. When I switched to the older tilt steering column without wipers, the column went from the 1" Double D style shaft to a splined shaft. That's all fine and well just don't have the right universal joint now.

Started in on some front brake lines. Again, nothing real photo worthy.

Soon as I get a chance to get the right sheet steel back in the table i'll make some more progress on the air intake.
 
OK, so who is versed on the inner workings of a steering column?

purple wire is main power in to the turn signal switch. There are 4 out put wires from the switch, of course, frt L turn, frt R turn, Rear L turn and Rear R turn.

If I put an ohm meter from the purple input to one of the output wires, should I not get a reading other than open circuit between these wires? Obviously I'm engaging the turn signal selector to the appropriate left or right turn.

Little baffled here as to why I can't get anything to show a connection.

Same thing I got.

So, from that chart, you should be able to engage the left hand turn signal and put an Ohm meter across purple and yellow and get a reading. But it doesn't work. Neither of the columns I got. The original column, nothing worked. This one, all the ignition stuff works but not the turn signal circuits. Or at least, they don't work with an ohm meter.
