80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

I fit in the regular width but I have had a lot of passengers comment on how they are to narrow.

I didn't fit in them so well, glad it was only a short ride!

Keeping in mind the seats you sat in were of a different brand and those, I was not happy with at all. I got them for cheap from a friend at the time I wasn't a dealer for PRP seats so its all good. They faded out pretty badly. The black turned into Navy blue which bothered me every time I got in the truck. The piping came apart. They just weren't the quality I thought they'd be.

I know the PRP seats to be better.

my wide's fit me perfect... I would think the reg's to be a bit narrow.. I run a 36 to 40 waist, so I'm not svelte, but no porker either... hopefully I'll be ordering some wide DD'ers for Mutt from ya over the summer...

Sounds good, let me know when you're ready. You'll be able to try out the fit on the wides in April.

yeah, I'm looking more at aug..... PRP do tend to run narrow.. well, my comp hibacks ran narrow.. higher bolster, but I'm guessing the butt width is similar on a DD... black center fab, outer ryo red vinyl bolsters, black back and piping... I think i'll not only do the wide, but the max taller too.. I ran 4" high tall back on the hiback.. I think the DD have a taller version iirc...

can't wait to see your's.. it'll be nice to have the electrical squared away.... I'm still curious what you end up with for a bulkhead solution....

Bulk head solution is already there. You must have missed the pics. I used short harnesses through weather tights on the bulk head and a removable panel. All weather pack connections on the individual harness legs.

Today I got the next piece of the overhead electrical console welded in place and all of it DA'd and ready for powder coat. Bolted it in. All fits nice. Tomorrow I think i'll add one more tab to the mounting. Then I can start designing the switch panel portion of it.

Also bolted my steering wheel on to see what that looked like. Found I was missing a small piece of the horn connection. Got that out of the other steering column that I had started with so should be good to go now.

Maybe I can get back to some brake line work tomorrow as well.

I am happy to report the front brake line pluming is complete.

I could not find a T fitting that I needed anywhere. 1/4" NPT on one side and 1/8" NPT on the other two. Had to make one... Built not bought gone to far.

It's final resting place on the axle. Added a mounting tab to keep things from bouncing around.

After that, I had a few minutes left in my day and decided to put the rear rock lights on. No pics of that but another item that needs wire.... OMG.

Seats arrived,

They are pretty damn comfortable as expected. A daily driver. no piping. Gray tweed center. Daytona black everywhere else and of course the water hydration unit on each seat.

Should make sliding in and out pretty easy for a daily driven vehicle. That's why I went with the daily driver and no piping/double stitch.

You might also notice, no harness holes. Since this will be driven daily, I'll be using the more convenient retractable factory seat belt.

I don't know if you have looked at em. I know a guy with em and he loves em

That's cool. Wish I needed new seats! I want a hydration pouch in mine!

I certainly will. My 27yr old belts don't work the best. I'm glad you posted that.

That piping removal option looks a lot nicer. Think that's called a French seam if I remember correctly, very strong.

Hood closes again. Got the reinforcements under the sheet metal edge done and the trim bezel around the intake finished up. I'll get it riveted one for final fitment and snap a photo.
