80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

Of course, lots of tube work yet to do, this is enough for now. Body mounting is very stable so I can start moving the fenders back. Looks like about 3.5" will center the tire into the wheel well pretty good. Might go a bit further than that, anticipating more weight in the rear.

So my .02 for what ever it is worth. I would do the rear cage to look like a Blazer back instead of slopping it down. Either way it does look good.

The angled bars in the back seems to be a thing. I guess I could understand it if you're going open top, but if you're enclosing it why not reinforce it?

You'll understand when you see the topper.

The orange really pops. I think I even see some bolt head reflection in the diff cover. Dark Forces hydraulic cylinder peeking out just a tick.

thats a weird looking LS oil pan ya got there!
powder coat looks awesomer!

I had planned on starting the fender well move yesterday but ended up deciding I wanted to get some weight in the back and simulate the actual loaded ride height of the truck. Expecting the axle to move rearward at least a small amount. probably just being overly fussy.

Instead I worked on the cage a little more, steering a little more and the door panels.

I think my door panels will eventually have speaker mounting locations and possibly a storage pocket with a lockable lid/door. Can always use more storage and I don't like the idea of things flying around in the truck if you get crazy off road.

Anybody know which of the LMC window crank handle part numbers are the basic black handle black knob?

What's the good car speakers these days? Rockford Fosgate? Sony? Pioneer?

EDIT, nevermind. Got a set of JBL's coming
