80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

What's the good car speakers these days? Rockford Fosgate? Sony? Pioneer?

Infinity makes reasonably priced excellent speakers for car audio. Highly recommend them for a "bang for the buck" option.

Hard to tell. They all have there own sound and depends on what you want to listen to. Last fosgates I heard would be good for rock. Alpines and JL's you almost need a sub also. Infinity and Kenwood are good all-around. Haven't played with Sony in a while to know that one. But that's what I'm trying in the burb next. My last set in the burb got sold due to not running but they were JBL GTO series. But they were awesome when I ran them and they are cheap as fock on onlinecarstereo.com or sonicelectronix.com. I was running an amp and had them on a high pass crossover at 80hz. Most decent decks have a crossover available built in now though

I forgot, the GTO's are 2ohm and would require an amp. Not necessarily a big one, just an amp that will do 2ohm

You can still run the GTO's on 4 ohm. That's what I ordered.

Well, we'll see how they fit in the door. I don't see a 6.5" being a problem.

Got the first box side and inner fender well removed.

Faceless booking
How's the neck?

Yep, faceless booking. It's all good buddy!

I'm not sure if its been talked about but seeing the fuel made me think. Where are you putting the fuel tank?

It's coming along nicely.

Fuel tank will be between the frame rails like a blazer or suburban. The fuel doors will be used but for another purpose.

I didn't think you'd be running saddle tanks on this.

Cool, now I'm intrigued.

Air and welder lead hookup points? I'm going through all the possibilities in my head, this has my curiosity!

I left the fuel doors on the bed sides when I swaped mine out and had planned them for air hook ups on both sides of the truck.... I haven't gotten that far. i'm interested to see what you end up doing.

Got a sweet sticker from Scott Riley @ big horn graphics the other day.

I think I'm done with the cutting on this side now. Some prep work and it'll be time to start putting it back together. Was dreading the job but now, with the cutting done and having hit my mark right where I wanted to be, I'm excited to see it back together.

Cut has allowed for a 3.5" rearward movement of the box side and inner fender well as one piece.
