Well here's the Chronicles of my POV build.

Its an 1981 K5 Blazer, 305/TH350/NP208

Transmission is having issues so one of the first thing I will be doing is Swapping in a Monster Trasnmission. Its ordered Just Waiting for it.

Overhead Console

Well Transmission is on Order..... So while im waiting. Im Working on building an Overhead console to Hold a Few Switches and my Fire Siren Controller.


Working on the Layout and Connecting The Wood to the Metal Frame.

A Few Rust Spots along the Fenders and Rockers But those are all getting trimmed any way.

Hopefully Next Weekends project While im waiting for my Transmission to be done!!!

Not Bad has a 16' door. And i Have enough room on the sides to open the doors when its pulled in and Move around it.
 
How much Lift?

Any Idea how much lift these Springs might Be. I cant find any real markings on them besides which side they are for.

Few more Things Today.

Well had some down Time so I decided to Finally Finsih mounting my Fire Siren Today. At first I was going to mount it down between the 2 front frame rails.. Decided against that because I dont know how it would work with the A-Bomb Ill be picking up from Kert in the Near Future!



Taped off ready to throw some paint behind there while I had the Grille Apart.

Transmission.....

Well I started working on putting the new Transmission in last night. Got the old one Dropped and found a few issues. the Detent/ Kickdown cable is shot, will be tuesday before Napa can get me one. And the Front output and Rear output seals on the Transfer case we shot.

Nice Hole in the Floor all the Way to the Ground.

New Trans and the Transfer case cleaned and bolted up:

Then onto Tonight: Got the seals on the Transfer case swapped out, And the New Transmission stabbed..... 1 issue tonight. The Bolts going from the Flywheel to the Torque converter are Standard thread, my old bolts are metric.... So Need to order new bolts on monday.

Filled up the hole: working on the Floor mount Shifter:

Ill take Step by step of the Floor Shifter. Quality looks good, and the Instructions are easy to follow so far.

I couldn't really stop to take pictures of the Tranny going in with the wife's camera and Hans covered in grease.
