Nothing major, 2 inch drop, front strut bar, rear adjustable trailing arms with heim joints. Actually sold it last month and just picked up an 850 turbo Silver with black interior.

Finally got around to picking up some rubber for the wheels, 285/70/17 Yokohama Geolander AT-S take offs. Came home and mounted them on the 'burb, looks decent IMO.

Finally got the engine dropped in Thursday, spent yesterday buttoning up the exhaust, torque converter and mounting some brackets / hooking up the hard to reach sensors.

Got the crazy eyes from my buddy when I told him $500 more and we are done, he said, "No way!" Figure oil & filter, coolant, new radiator hoses, fuel filter and 40 gal of diesel, new belts and recharge the A/C, gotta check the wheel bearings and u joints and she desperately needs new front brakes and replace the rear front spring hangers as one is snapped. Then I will be able to cruise her, 8 months after buying her.:woot:

Heck, maybe closer to $1k........:doah:

Nothing odd about that!! put a turbo on them and they perform awesome. AND double the mileage of the inferior spark igniton engines :waytogo:

Made lots of progress this weekend. Had a problem getting her to fire, cracked the lines at the injectors and cranked her a bit. When they started to leak closed them up, cranked her and she coughed to life. Let her run for a bit and found 2 small oil leaks and that the heater core is leaking.....

As we tried to shut her down, she kept running so we kinked the fuel feed line to kill her and played Dr. Frankenstein with the IP, swapping the civilian flapper (for lack of the correct terminology) the part that is controlled by the large solenoid, in place of the military one. Fired her and she shut off like she should.

Now to fix the couple leaks, swap the heater core, do the brakes and enjoy!

Sorry for the crappy video.

Junkyarding it yesterday with my buddy, we found a '78 that was setup as a nice E.V. at one time.

Grabbed the bumper, but left the Sidewinder winch.:doah:

The line on the spool was pretty frayed and the underhood cables were a bit melted, like it might of grounded out.

I probably should have just grabbed it and dealt with the problems....

I cruised it to my shop in Covina a couple times before I did the brakes. Now that the brakes are done I need an XJ shaft, I believe. The steering is super loose, bad bumpsteer.

Pulled the trigger on some Rancho 9000XL's. With price matching and Rancho's SHOCKTOBER fest (buy 3 get 1 free) going on, I have $304.08 in my new shocks.
