It split where the snap ring goes on the end, I was able to grab the piece and it just peeled right off and snapped. I guess I will be trying to source a cheap one to return for a core ($95).
Anyways, rebuilt one is in and it definitely feels better. Just have to bleed it out a little more as the fluid is still a bit frothy.
I need to replace the tie rod ends as the rubber boot is just about gone.
Been awhile since any updates, had a great 4+ years with her but I had to let her go.
My G30 box truck with a TBI 350 has been acting up and I ended up having to rent a truck a couple times to pick up rolls of Carpet and Vinyl for my shop. So I decided I would sell the Suburban and get a truck that can dual purpose as a shop truck / pleasure vehicle. She went to a good home, young kid (23) that didn't even want to test drive her, was just like TAKE MY MONEY!!!
I picked up a 1988 K3500 6.2 diesel last night, needs a lil work, but will end up serving me better. Goodbye sweet, sweet Red Rum, you will be missed!
