I'm not sure if you could make them work with a normal pickup system? They're set up to be air over hydraulic on deuces and have pretty big wheel cylinders. I'm honestly not sure though.
Ever weighed a 46" XML? 225 without a wheel. Stock deuce wheel is 70 or 75. FMTV wheel is knocking on 95 pounds, if I recall correctly. I've got no problem with pinion brakes, but if drums are a rotating concern you might want to look at an interco tire over a Michelin X. My 42" TSL's were around 100 pounds a tire.

I know they weigh alot. Im not too concerned about it.
Good deal. I just remember how little fun I had mounting 6 of them by myself. They're great tires, I wish they were available in smaller sizes. Or at least not be impossible to find in 325's. I'd have them on everything.

Have you ever tried the G177 tires?
I've only ever seen the G177 in an 11x20. Is there a larger single that I've never seen? I've had some experience with the MVT Goodyears though.

I can get the 11/20s for $100 a piece. There basically brand new tires and id just make adapers or change out centers. I think those are close to 44 tall.
I'd think they'd look a little odd being so narrow, but I cant imagine them being a bad tire. I've seen a similar pattern used on the semi's I used to work around installing storm shelters and they got around in the dirt better than you'd think an OTR truck would.

For the price I thought it would be worth a try. A guy I know bought 79 5ton trucks and alot of them have new tires

Seeing them in person they are absolutely gigantic. Although it's temping to get a whole truck

Oh man I know! I grew up right next to a field where the national guard landed helicopters and parked all of their equipment. No fences or armed guards or anything like that so I could wander around and check things out. The guys that were in charge were way cool and would let me hang out with them. Awesome experience for a 10yr old kid. The 5tons and the HEMTTs were the ones I loved!

That would be awesome. I can get a running 5 ton for 3 grand. If they would go over 55mph I put a flatbed on one and use it to haul my crew cab
