Turns out Yukon does make 5.38s for the Dana 60 4.56 and up carrier!
How thick is it?
Yeah, they do. From my understanding you can get 5.38's in a d60 no matter the carrier (correct me if I'm wrong) but it's the 14bff that you can only run 5.38's if you have a 4.10 and down carrier. And usually most of us, when you have a d60, you have a 14bff

Yes my rear carrier is 4.10 and down with thick cut gears.
Then you're set. I'm a little screwed cause I really want 5.38's, but my axles are the CUCV 1 tons with 4.56 gears. So I either have to find a 4.10 carrier for the rear, or just be fine with going 5.13's

Those are a little pricey. If you could find a screaming deal on a gear set (standard rotation), you could use the spacer below for the 4.10 carrier.

The Dana 60 has never been the issue it's the 14 bolt.

I got the truss finished up tonight. It definitely took a lot longer than I was planning. Keeping it straight was a pain. It's currently cooling overnight in my makeshift jig. Going to try and pick up hydro assist parts tomorrow to get the tabs welded on before paint.
I'm jealous. That looks super sick.

Thanks! I'm contemplating doing the rear axle. But there a dime a dozen so I'm not too worried if I bend one.
I hear you on the rear. I have an extra one sitting in my garage.
nice stacks... cool....
I wonder if it would be worth putting some reinforcement along the front or back of the axle, where that pad is on the long side. That's a weak spot - but had to be in this instance...

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea. But I'm done welding on this thing. I've got to get the front end back under my truck
