Wow:eek1:

I want a clean DD like that soo bad.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that one?

What is it with you finding mint drivers with ****tastic wheels?

I paid $4500

Do you know were the cc has lived? That's all the same spots mine started to rush at after I moved to the coast.

I have no idea. I wasn't even in the country when I bought it so I didn't even talk to the seller except email.

Haha right!! I knew you would comment on them. Even I hate these wheels. They're for sale

Fudge man!

$4500 around here would get the same truck, but with no clear coat.

It's missing some clear on the hood. The hood has enough dings in it to warrant a replacement IMO.

I think it needs a black top as well.

Crew cab short bed!

Day after I posted this, saw this one on Pirate:

I keep looking for the rust in these pictures. I can't find any.

You West Coast guys just don't grasp what rust is... :doah:

New rig does look shiny, though. :thumb:

Haha come on I know you saw the other pics!

True it's not a total cancer patient, but the cab is pretty much gone. Every door jamb, both rockers, and the cab corners are swiss cheese.

I will concede that there is a medium amount of rust on the bottom of the cab. But the hood, rockers, and fenders that you are complaining about look pretty good to these eyes. Even looking at the bad spots, I'd love to have that little rust on my Blazer (I can see through a number of spots in my sheet metal). :deal:

The stuff that you call swiss cheese is our normal. :dunno:

So before you scrap it out, realize that it still does have some resale value, even if it looks like a rust bucket to the West coast.

You gonna start a thread for mods to the new truck, or is it staying as is?

True and I will most likely retain the front fender skins along with the bedsides for the trail rig. Looks like the rust would get cut out with my fender trimming anyway and the trail rig needs some GM shaped metal badly!

I really doubt I could move much if any of these body panels out here though. The hood looks good except for a crack right in the center up front. I may try and hone my sheet metal repair skills on that.

I am going to start taking the crew apart in the next couple weeks so I can replenish some of my slush fund with drivetrain parts.

I think the new K5 will get a build thread and I will do an unbuild progress in here on the crew.

Plans for the K5 are very mild. 2" or 3" TC springs up front, and either blocks or a flip kit in the rear along with some good shocks. Rally wheels and that's about it. I may look at trying to get crossover under it as steering parts fade, but for now its a tight stock setup.

I do have a feeling the 700R4 has a limited amount of life in it just judging by how it shifts and it seems to have some RPM fluctuations in D while maintaining a steady speed. :dunno:
