82 K5-Texas4x4rebels. Thinking about parting out the K5

Pretty much. I have been told on more than one occasion by unnamed members that I would be taken out behind the tool shed and beaten soundly if I did that to my truck.

Yes i will help them.... Lol

If its rough and built for that I'm ok with it. But if its nice to start with no reason to just f it up.

I guess I'm not ever going to ble able use mine or they will want to beat me too. Lol

Neat vid of the buggy flippin. I need to put your thread on my ignore list, the awesomeness of your truck is killing me. Been spending time surfing craigslist for a good 73-80 beater to build, spray paint green, and add a soft top to. Stupid internet is going to beak me.

What did I do?

Awesomed up your truck, that's what you did.

I don't know about all that,
but un-bondo'd, straight sheetmetal should definitely stay that way! :D

I smacked my fender w/ a hammer the other day, and hella Bondo fell off.
Now... It's on!

Rocks, here I come! :woot:

Oh she's got plenty of rust and bondo on her to justify a good beating!!!

But your truck is still REALLY nice Kenny. We need to do some easy wheelin in the next couple months.

Ever get your death wobble fixed? I have almost the exact same front end set up as you, ORD crossover steering, PSC steering pump, xj shaft, DIY shackles, ballastic fab springless, etc. Did it all together and it cut my death wobble down by 25%ish (has TSX's which are bias ply). Switched the radials, 100% gone. Unless you have something loose, it is almost certainly the tires, those bias plys just cannot be balanced like the radials. I know can do 5-100 MPH with no shakes.

Did you do a 4L80E swap? I am trying to research that now in preparation for my new LS3 raping my 700R4.

Well I came home yesterday after being gone all day and noticed that the k5 looked weird. My k5 has to sit in the street and it's right in front of a driveway where it sits looks like somebody busted a u-turn in the neighbors driveway and slammed into the k5 when they backed out. They hit it in the left front wheel and tire and moved the blazer about 6-10 inches, enough that it shoved the right front wheel into the curb and put a big scrape in the curb with the right front wheel.

Didn't have time to check the damage last night had to be at work at 4am today but there does apper to be something funky with the front axle also the tires were turned slight left when it was parked and were slight right after it was hit. Hopefully after work I can check for any real damage and post pics.

Also they forgot to leave a note saying what happened!! :angry1:

That sux man.Do u have good insurance on her? Id take pics of everything and jump on it if so. Crappy people. Grrrrr

Well after I got home from work the neighbors came over and talked to me it was them that hit the blazer. His wife said she was opening the passanger door for there daughter and she thought that it was in park. Turns out it was in reverse her foot slipped off the break and she just went right into the blazer. The good thing is no one got hurt and there insurance is gonna take care of any damage.

Honda-0

Looks like it just bent both the front wheels. I think the 1.5 inch tie rod held up dosent look bent.

It looks like she cracked your tire tread too.

I'm glad nobody was hurt and it's going to be handled.

It's going to suck if you get out on the trail & something internal breaks and you have wonder if it was related to the bump.:doah:

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Mom took it out of drive, got out and went around to passenger side before it decided to start moving? Doesn't really matter as long as she's paying, just doesn't make sense.

If she was in the driver seat and reaching across, why didn't she just step on the brake?
