It looks pretty decent when its wet, haha, definitely needs hydro assist now though, i have the 4l80 and 246 to swap in it too, but then i have to switch to my high pinion dana 60. Snowball effect..

should i put highsteer on when i go hydro-assist? or should i just leave it where its at and put my 1/4 inch wall repair tubing in place of the tierod?

I didnt do highsteer. Nothing against it. I run a 3/8" wall tie rod and ive never had any trouble. I couldnt see the benefit of ramming an axle against a rock as opposed to the tie rod bar. I mean obviously its better not to land on the tie rod bar but with big enough tires you shouldnt have to ram anything in the first place.
I bent the crap outa my tie rod.. Then bent it back..
Skip high steer.

It's harder to fit hydro assist with high steer. Much easier to do with the true rod low.
I like my high steer. I hit stuff alot but we wheel in lava rock. Tons of tire sized boulders. They move too.
Unless you do big time technical rock crawling no need for high steer. IMHO I have a need for it.
