I have a bunch of pics I could unload. Even some H cup boobers. I should add them some time.
We're finishing up a trip twice that length, And we've seen only a tiny fraction of the country.

Thats true. I've been on one long trip before. It was pretty fun...saw this side half of the U.S.
I'm pretty tapped out on this place though...I'd like to visit ground zero someday along with Florida but other then that it's all Europe for me.
I really wish road trips were cheaper. Seems like most people my parents age took off at one point in their lives and drove all over the states.
That's not our longest, we drove 4000 miles over thanksgiving, and really didn't even go that far away.. Haha South Dakota then to Oklahoma then back home and then to Denver. I enjoy taking long road trips.
I got some on snapchat earlier I guess I could post up.. She did find my old phone yesterday and delete all the pictures I had in there. Oops.
What makes you think road trips are expensive? We've run up about $400 in costs between fuel and camping. For a 5000 mile, 15 day, 8 state tour.
Previous cross-country trips were cheaper yet.
You can see a whole lot of awesome for $100 in this country.

Fuel is one thing. Lodging or camping, food etc adds up.
I don't think I can even leave the state for 100 bucks lol.
I guess the other thing is if I want to burn up some serious vacation time it'd better be out of the US for maximum fun haha

It doesn't hafta add up as quickly as you think. Camping ranges from cheap to free depending on where you go. Food you'll be buying anyway. we just bring normal food along, no added cost there unless we want something special .
You can spend as much or as little as you want. Google says 10.5 hrs of driving will get you from San Francisco through all of California and all of Nevada and to the mountains at the far side of Utah. I personally would drive further than that before stopping for the night, but even at that rate you get to see 3 states on your first day of traveling. Swing North through ID, MT, and OR and I think you have the makings of an awesome long weekend. Prolly wouldn't even need to burn vacation for such a short trip, if you plan it out ahead of time.
You can totally do this. Pick a spot and go.
