I'm definitely not going in the river, there are lots of trails around here.

I had great success.

It would be difficult to top my success.

Martin

Success extracting yourself? I'll grant that. You have quite a cool story there.

But if you claim your navigating was a success, and that you meant to get stuck, and that you were thus successful...I'm going to say your priorities are quite different than mine. :deal:

@campfire

He wasn't stuck. He was temporarily immobilized.
Totally different

Ah. Got it. :screwy:

I shut the engine off, to avoid a hydro lock. I could have possibly powered through the hole, but I had a four hour drive home ahead of me.

I made that four hour drive home.

Sounds like success to me.

Martin

Fair enough. Sure wish we had seen it. Have you/are you going to check all the fluids for water contamination? That picture of water shooting out of the oil pan is really something.

Went wheeling Saturday with a group of about 40, didn't get many pictures but the girlfriend took a lot, might upload some more later. My homemade sketchy front driveshaft broke when I was driving top speed. Luckily that's only 63 and that was on the way back home. Otherwise pretty pleased with how it did, drives pretty nice when the front is unlocked.

Just south of orleans by the river, then a farmers pasture, then the h1 owners off-road park by orleans

I've wanted one since I was like 10, but they always say "never meet your heros". So i'll just keep thinking in my head that they are the best thing ever.

The owner has several Rock buggies and well built jeeps for rock crawling, he likes the Humvee better. The cool factor is up there too. You would cringe if you saw how small the axle shafts are though.

It's cool to see you having fun with something that you built to be "yours"!!!
