Hey guys I just recently joined the site as a contributing member. I am a proud owner of a 1983 K5. Currently it's is sitting on 37s an 8 lug 10 bolt front axle and 14 bolt ff rear 4.56 gears 56" springs out back and 52" springs in the front. Soon to be 64" springs out of a 95 dually in the back. It used to be a 6.2 diesel but it's now rocking a 350 with a sm465 and np208 (hopefully one day a 454/4l80). My current plans are to get everything dependable and it will be my DD. It needs the steering column rebuilt, speedo cable reinstalled, and the rear springs replaced then I can get to the other fun stuff!

What was wrong with the 6.2? Was that a factory SM465 rig?

Thanks dueling I checked out some of your build on pirate some nice work there!

82355-I bought it with the 350 in it. It was a factory sm465. Being an ex diesel tho it doesn't require smog or cats...even though here in Texas we don't check for that **** any way!

I knew that looked like TX in the back ground!!
like the ride! :waytogo:

Straight North of Dallas about 30 min in between Denton and mckinney

Oh OK nice I know of that area I've heard there are some good wheeling spots around DFW and up North once I get everything fixed up might have to make a trip! I really want to go to the off road park in Marble Falls TX near Austin!

I have been there in my jeep it's a great time and worth the trip

Good to know I'm hoping to make it this winter or next summer at the latest have to get the beast capable of making the 5 hr haul on its own

Picked up my springs today he also included the sway bar spring plates and u-bolts for $50.
