You've got that right. Funny thing is I'm 52 and I feel the same excitement I did back when I was in my 20's doing things like this!
Got my rug kit in this past Friday from Stock Interiors. Super nice and the ticket said it was just made when I ordered it. Took it out of the box and layed it out. Got no folds showing and it layed out nice. Really formed well in all the right areas. The wheel well covers and door panels look good too. Only thing that is fair is the door panel vents (plastic). They aren't the best with some thin flashing between the vent openings. Went and picked up two nice leather 97 Tahoe seats today. They have the same bolt pattern as my K5. The driver's is power/lumbar and the passenger is manual with electric lumbar. All good leather with no cuts or scrapes. Just a little cleaning and they should be fine. Got them both for $250 too. The guy also has a rotted 84' K5 with only 71k. It has a 6.2/7004r that runs great. No transfer and no rear end gears. Radiator is virtually brand new even though it's been parked for 3 yrs. Hydra boost, alternator, full dash instrumentation, switches, windshield w/antenna, rear bed panels, dent free shiny chrome rear bumper, etc. are all there. I can get it for $5-600. Worth it for parts and then scrap the rest. Wive is mad as she doesn't want me to have another project! LOL
