The more I see the amount of headroom you have up top the more jealous I get. I spent the afternoon at my buddy's place installing the conduit lift panel to replace his rotted out stock lift panel. My hat was touching the roof as we were inside working on it.

More updates today! Finished the lower trim , added closed cell foam rubber on frame and roof where canvas gets sandwiched, added d-rings for the bungees. I also finally lowered it with canvas installed. With proper planing and a good group of k5 camper guys insights this camper is coming together very well.
Looks good. What other colors are you going to be able to do these in? Green looks great on yours but I'm thinking not so much on a truck my color.
Grey, tan, black, ect. they have all kinds of colors available.
It's come out awesome for sure. You do very clean work. Extra bonus points for getting the bungees lined up right to pull all that canvas in without bunching up over the edge. That's a lot of canvas to get to fold up right.

Thanks zoomad75! I am making my own top molding/drip edge right now with 2 inch wide .080thou thick aluminum with a 30deg bend about 3/4 of the way down so the water moves away from canvas.
Make sure you run a bead of sealant on top of that edge on the roof side. Even with the butyl rubber you put on next to it any water can and will weep down the inside edge of the canvas and cause issues.
Will do! I used 3m vhb to mount the upper and lower canvas on also. We had 40-50mph winds the other day and no sign of that coming off without the trim on lol. I put a piece of that stuff on some scrap vinyl and a piece of aluminum to see how good it would bond and the vinyl actually pulled apart before the tape gave way. THE STUFF IS AMAZING
We got a roof vent! It’s a little chilly out so I’m going to let the butyl tape sit in sun tomorrow and I’ll tighten screws back up and seal it with dicor. Solar panels will be here Thursday so that’s the next project this week.
