You think you are going to have to trim the bottom of the doors at all?
maybe a little but very little if any.
You can see here I cut right at the crown of the rocker, the door bottom sits just above this.
I bet you'll be fine. My goal was to try to leave the doors alone.

probably and others that have done something similar have been able to use it as a jack point. I would feel better with it tied into the frame and bed though.

I haven't tied my slider to the frame on this truck or the K5. Never had a problem with it in 12yrs.
