One of my biggest Internet/forum pet peeves.

Agreed, I was always do my best to close my loops when I have questions. I know I appreciate it when I can find the answers in other posts. Too bad people are slowly migrating away from forums and onto facespace/social media. The amount of info contained in this forum and other ones is crazy...

And they turn into pirates too

I need to build a canoe rack. Been hauling it in the 2008 pickup but just using the rubber blocks under the front end and a wood post across the bed rails so we can still open the tailgate. That f-ing thing won't stay strapped down. Broke the cab brake light once plus scratched up the roof. I've decided some sort of rack is the best way to do it.

I was going to make something, had the square tube in the garage to do it but after some google-fu I found a lot of people use the HF ladder rack. It's rated for 250 lbs, the canoe weighs around 70, I'll let ya know how it holds up bouncing down the trail.

I built a rack for the blazer and to solve the strap down problem I built in a way to clamp the canoe to the rack (actually I ran bolts through the lip on the canoe). Way better than strapping to anything.

Hell, I almost lost the canoe hauling it home in the crew cab. Damn thing sure has fought me.

we've never had a problem strapping it to the cage and he drives this rig like he stole it down fire roads.

Do you have any more pictures of how you have your fuel filler ran? I saw the one picture where it is popping up the bedside but didn't know if you ever did anything else with it. Same with the vent

It just s straight piece of fuel filler hose off the tank into a 90 stainless bend through the bed. The breather hose is just a piece of 5/8" (IIRC) zip tied to it. I'll snap a pic tonight.

Its one of my favorites too. I just dont like the tube door look. I want to make a set like this for my blazer.
