Bursting at the seams with hilarity
Only if you use Hrew tube!
....j/k, I have a hard time caring what people think about me
You guys are making me feel bad for using HREW on my entire setup....j/k, I have a hard time caring what people think about me
I put all my seams to the inside of the bend as well. I had read what was mentioned before about the seam can weaken a bit when stretched. But for just the bumper tubes, you probably won't see any difference.
I kinda wish I would have done the "brace plates" on the back like what you are doing. I did just a brace tube for that, but the plates make a great place to mount lights if you want, or be a step like what you mentioned. I had to make my own tabs to mount my lights in that location, plus the notch on the brace tubes near the ends were a biotch to get even moderately close to be able to weld
The purpose of the bumper build was to become familiar with the equipment so I my tuition pile after the cage is done isn't hundreds of dollars of DOM.

I like where you are headed and there's only so many ways to make a good looking tube bumper, if anyone thinks they are somehow original with their overall design then they are kidding themselves![]()
lol yeah I'm not too worried about the seams on a bumper, oddly enough there seems to be a crowd that believe the seam should be on the side, others say on the inside. What if the tube has bends on two planes? The purpose of the bumper build was to become familiar with the equipment so I my tuition pile after the cage is done isn't hundreds of dollars of DOM.
I have a couple sidetracked 6" LED mini light bars that are going where the stock turn signals are.
Next I'm thinking about adding tube like so

You got a bender. Straight tube LAME.
I think it looks good if you put a slight bend at the top and bottom of the mostly straight tube.

Pvc FTW!Alununum!
Aren’t you fancy![]()
Why yes.....yes I am
makes the notching easier too.....I think.
