After the column is in I can start looking at the dash pad, gauges, switch panel w/push start, stereo, center console etc. I also have new FOX shocks for the front that I'm hoping will only require new tabs on the hoops along with the crossover bar that I keep putting off.

Gonna go with an aftermarket turn signal setup also?

Haven't figured that out yet, been using hands signals for the last couple years. Also need to figure out my windshield wiper and high beam wiring.

Went ahead and ordered the steering shaft parts from Speedway so I have them this weekend:
91032239- Sweet Mfg U-Joint, 13/16 36-Spline to 3/4 Round, Big GM Pre 1978
91032247- Sweet Mfg. U-Joint, 3/4 Inch-20 Spline to 3/4 Inch Round, Weld-On
91632200-36 Universal 3/4 Inch OD Solid Steering Shaft/Racing Column, 36 Inch

High beam just wire in a floor switch, When I was pulling mine apart it looked like a fairly easy thing to wire in. The one in the column is basically that but in the column.

Turn signals you are on you own for that, however the buses I use to drive use a floor mounted switch. Just like the high beam switch they are just momentary ones only work when your foot is on them.

As I've mentioned previously, I have a tilt steering column that is absolutely hammered and following apart. It's to the point now that I have to tilt the wheel a certain way to get the ignition on and I need a pair of pliers to pull the linkage to kick the starter. The wiper, blinker controls are long gone and the ergonomics with regards to the column have been poor since the PRP's have gone in. For ease of access I need a tilt wheel or removable steering wheel so I started by looking at aftermarket replacement columns however I quickly found those to be more than I wanted to spend. After looking at a variety of universal columns from Jeg's, Summit, Speedway, Sweet, PSC etc. I settled on a collapsible universal column from Speedway with a 20 spline output and quick release steering wheel hub. I need to buy the u-joints and a shaft to connect the column to the steering box, hoping to dig into that this week after the column is out and I have a confirmation the new column will work.

Are you getting the pink one? Haha.

I’m hesitant to mount anything on the floor because of the river crossing we do.

Signal stat and some others also make universal turn signal switches for semis and such.

Need to look into that.

Could always use a rocker switch for the headlights that's on both ways, one dim the other bright. Simple and effective.

I have a FSM for an 85 that I posted the wiper wiring in Kerts SERE thread, I could go find that picture again If it would help.

My first thought was just to add a high beam toggle on the dash, I really don't drive this at night unless I'm wheeling and I'll likely have the 6" sidetracked mini LED light bars when I do. I'll look for the schematic, I def need that.

Looks good. I gotta figure out where my heater is going.

Originally I was going to put it on the passenger side but it's easier to route the coolant lines and ducting if centered in the cab.

Ordered a wiper switch made by Painless (PN 80173), should be here tomorrow along with a bunch of other parts.

Some other stuff showed up today though.

When I built the hoops the first time I based them around the pro comp shocks I had with the idea that I would upgrade later. I ended up scoring some Bilsteins from @bmxbryant9 a while back and quickly realized the body of a 14" Bilstein, King or Fox shock was 1.75"+ longer than a procomp so I would need to modify my hoops to accommodate a couple more inches of bump travel that I needed. After a couple beers and some head scratching the saw zaw went to work, the original hoops were simply too short. Next I bent a couple longer hoops at 145 on the bender and started to trim until I had one fitted with the 6" of bump I was looking for.

Traced the hoop on a scrap piece of wood so I can duplicate it for the other side.

I used a Bilstein for mock up since it's within a 1/4" in dimension to the Fox's I'll be running. You'll also see the removable crossover bar I added so the hoops are tied-in.

I must have had a couple too many beers when I welded the lower tabs on the passenger side since they were clocked about 5-7 degrees more forward than the drivers side. I didn't want the shock busing to bind in those tabs so I ran over to ruffstuff and picked up a set of D60 tabs and redid that side. It was cold and windy yesterday and a bitch to weld that outside.

It was too cold and windy to paint yesterday so I'll do that later and mount the Fox shocks.

also got the wiper linkage back on and mounted the wipers.
