Is there anything special done to your axles? I don't remember. A set of 4.56 geared axles should be easy to come by, and an axle swap is easy work.

I have Kert's backbone welded to the 14B and I stuffed a Detroit in it. The front D60 has a Spartan locker with Yukon hubs.

I'll be going to see our local gear guy tomorrow for the Tahoe, I'm going to talk to him about a gear change while I'm there so I know what it will cost if I need it before moab.

Well

Didn't have time to chit chat when I dropped it off. Going back in the AM to pick up the rebuilt diff so I'll ask him then.

4.10 for now, if I feel like I need more gear after the first trail run I'll address it then.

I found a great video of a guy on 40s, same doubler setup and auto on a fullsize with 4.56. I think he was around 120:1? It looked like it was pretty good but maybe could've been a little lower. Autos are deceiving though. I'll have to find the vid.

120:1 doesn't sound right. I'll be at 54:1 with the 4.10's. However I'm not factoring in the torque converter.

Yeah some guys always use the 2:1 for a torque converter

Torque converter isnt always running at 2:1 in actuality though.
But yeah, slipping the donut is deceiving because the engine comes up without gaining much speed.
