Yeah its mostly drunks playing butt pirate and tummy sticks wars. Have you seen them rig a winch up to keep the doors from getting a scratch? Its entertaining watching them triangulate to pull the entire vehicle away from a rock. tofu farting fairies.

:haha::haha: Sounds like a great time to me. I don't see anything wrong with any of that stuff. :haha::haha:

Saturday I got up early and called a tow truck to bring us over to the Exhaust Shop. I was too lazy to move all the crap off and around the flatbed trailer.

up on the rack

The mufflers I got as a freebie from a friend are Dynomax and piratically brand new. Bigger mufflers at 20"x12" so it's pretty damn quiet.

With the exhaust on it I was finally able to drive it around with the back shocks, new tie rod and the rest of the changes....all is well :D

I needed to measure again for a driveshaft thinking mine won't have enough slip so I went up the street.

rear fender clearance with the 35's, I'm pretty sure this will need a slight trim.

The 35's actually measure out to 33.5" so these 37's are a decent jump in size. Still need to swap out the 16.5" stonecrushers for the 16's at my buddies house so I can mount the tires. Need to grab a spare too....

oh and these are the figures from the bottom of each yoke for the front shaft:

27 1/4" stuffed
28 5/8" droop

so I might be ok afterall :dunno:

I need to take it back up there with the front shaft on and make sure it's not binding.

Hahaha right!?

Truck looks good! I dont think youll have any issues with the front drive shaft. It just hit me that i didnt give you the bolts with those brake adapters. Next time i see you ill give them to you.

no worries on the bolts, I won't be jumping into that project anytime soon (I think anyway)

Your rear tire lifted awfully early?

Martin

It's not lifting, kinda looks like it in that pic....the wheel was on some clods of dirt though

At some point ill shave mine too! :D

Not sure about the 13 bolt though. I can machine the plate but i hear that they are more of a problem than they are worth. I think id go pretty close to the bottom bolt but probably wouldnt eliminate it. Then again i have some big tires to keep my pumpkin up in the air.

The only bad thing I have heard about the 13 bolt shave is that you loose most of your cooling capacity in the differential. OK for crawling but not great for long trips at speed or heavy loading.

That's hard to believe with the gallon+ of fluid in that diff and down the tubes. The capacity with the shave is what, a cup or two less?

Haha, I see it now.

Martin

I had to go back though my pics, had me wondering for a minute. The 57's flex a lot though....

Your not loosing fluid at all with Barnes 13 bolt cover.

Right I think he meant it could have circulation issues. I think it would be ok but I wouldnt go past doing a mini shave. I've heard too many woes about that bottom being too thin. I'd rather have more material and use ramming speed if it gets hung up.
