Yeah without. What's that rough compression ratio? Should I deck this ****er or what?

No it won't, I'll just bring the crank AND the block tomorrow to the machine shop

Ya 7.75 to 1 compression with a 118 head and a felpro blue stripe.

What Chinese crash victims said, build another one. The heads you have are fine but there are much better ones. Even .05 out of the hole it will just be 8.26 to one.

Heads have 10k on a full rebuild. Guess I could for shits and grins.

Zero deck height is 9sh:1 I'm guessing?

Wow, that's crap.

Is it worth it to bring it to zero or whatever for a future head and manifold swap? Or do those Pistons suck anyway so I'm wasting my time?

First I fat fingered and put in .05 instead of .005 out so it is actually 8.125. To get compression most big blocks use a dome.

I was going to say domo too. All new everything. There's some attractive assemblies on summit.

I would put it back together and run it. You will need to significantly modify the timing curve. Mine had about 26 intial and 12 degrees of advance.

I would buy your parts from the machinest that does the work.
