My no compression 454 made 365 HP and 500 ftlbs of torque with a 204 214 cam, qjet wieand Street warrior and headers. It doesn't sound like much but it pushed my old k30 way over 100 more times than I can remember and would paddle bumper deep snow in low and 3rd (2nd for Marty). It was a running sob.

Yours has a bigger cam so there should be more HP but a less torque. I would check the cam numbers & condition (you are almost there) to see how too big it is.

Wonder if it was reassembled with the same bearings after the crank was magged.

Idk where it is, in my wl somewhere. I would rather see one of me padddling up that hill in the snow.

Yeah I was searching for it a while back. Couldn't find it, but didn't try too hard.

Crank looks pretty good, might need a polish. I'll see what the machine shop says today when I drop it off.

8.1 is not in the cards right now.

No, doesn't need to be. 2-3 years down the road. Something will fall in your lap.
Cost effective to do minor repairs and get back wheeling
:deal:
