We both filled up in Georgetown, I would guess that he had to top off his tank somewhere on the trail after I left you guys.
I'm still sour about that trip! haha

I was sour for you! I cant believe the k5 made it through. The tcase was grinding like tossing marbles into a combustion chamber. Over heating and an epic trans leak. Went through more quarts of atf then id like to admit to get back to the trailer. stopped to get gas in tahoe and she decided to puke at least 2 quarts on the ground...burned rubber right on out of there lol.

I had my doubts about you getting through too![]()
That's how they get that many dents, they make it to and throughI always find it interesting how beat some rigs appear to be but they're dead nuts reliable.
I feel pretty good about my pile. Idles all day never getting hot pumping cool air out the vents and just chuggs up obstacles at idle or slightly above.I always find it interesting how beat some rigs appear to be but they're dead nuts reliable.
any updates on that FItech kit/tank/pump?
I won't have any updates until the FiTech setup is delivered. @wetoolowdingbangow received his kit, took about 8 weeks to receive it. Supposedly they ramped up production effective June 1 so I'm hoping I have it by the time I return from a business trip in mid July.
I did however receive the 30 gallon K5 tank, sending unit, Tahoe fuel pump, bunch of AN fittings, fitech filter& fitech fuel pressure gauge.

Sweet. I assume that fuel pump is an "in-tank" pump?
What was on the end of your sending unit? Its not AN fitting ready right?
correct, it's an intank Tahoe pump on a K5 sendinig unit.
It's an odd metric fitting on the feed and return (both different btw).
@K85 Octane he detailed the parts in his fuel injection thread as
Summit Racing Part Number: EAR-9894DBJERL
Summit Racing Part Number: RUS-640820
Cool that's something to work with. I was thinking I was going to have to flare it.

Make that #3!
